What began with a crumbling garage and an original coastal cottage has become an architectural retreat unfolding across three and a half levels, connecting the existing residence with spaces for relaxation, recreation and gathering. An alfresco terrace and sauna capture ocean views, while a mezzanine accommodates a gym and storage. Below, a generous games room sits beneath a dramatic two-storey void, with feature timber battens and off-form concrete bringing warmth, texture and a sense of scale. The journey opens out to the refurbished cottage, which may be the last remaining original cottage on Currumbin Hill. Carefully renewed, it honours the character and history of this special place, bringing its story into a new era of coastal living.
