Salt Boatshed
A $600,000 community boatshed and pavilion on Cudgen Creek is the newest community facility at the Salt beachfront village at Kingscliff. The project was carefully designed by the Raunik Design Group to provide a stillwater venue where families can relax, fish or enjoy a picnic as well as enjoy water based activities such as canoeing.
It is located on the north-western boundary of the $1 billion Salt development and has a wide creek frontage. The precinct has been designed for residents and visitors to Salt, with the developer the Ray Group dedicating 50 percent of the facility to Tweed Shire Council for community use. The dedication includes a 900sqm parcel of land, which is valued as a $500,000 ‘gift’ to the community. This portion of the project includes an 180sqm community pavilion with barbeque facilities, a public toilet block and bench seating.
